This particular swing arm is outfitted with a spherical bearing rather than a rubber or polyurethane bushing. The bearing in the swing arm allows the swing arm to tilt without bind. Standard rubber or polyurethane bushings resist the tilting movement of the swing arm as it goes through suspension travel. The resistance directly increases the spring rate of that corner of the vehicle. In a racing environment setting the car up can be a nightmare. The bearing system makes diagnosing rear handling issues easier because there is simply no bind for movement. The bearing is Teflon lined so lubrication will not be needed. The swing arm is a direct replacement that allows the factory hub and related brake lines, parking brake cables, and sway bar to bolt on. The parking brake cable is rerouted to tuck up higher into the control arm. New hardware is also included for the hub assembly. The swing arms are powder coated black and are made out of 1-1/4 1020 dom material.
