1964-67 G-PLUS Chevelle, GTO, and other A-Body Front Suspension Package (Big Block)

Replace those worn out upper and lower control arms with new technology Global West G-Plus control arms. The control arms replace the originals with no modifications. The lower arm is built exceptionally strong around the ball joint area providing reliability over the originals. The upper control arm contains new geometry that improves corner entry, keeping the tire flatter on the pavement as the car goes through the turn. This particular G-Plus kit is supplied with Del-a-lum bushings that respond like bearings in the suspension. They do not deflect but allow smooth quite up and down movement without bind. They have grease fittings so lubrication is easy. Another feature is the lower control arm spring cushion. The cushion indexes the spring and is capable of rotating so indexing the spring in the top and bottom is never an issue. The spring in this kit is setup for a one-inch drop for a big block. The spring rate is stiffer then stock for two reasons: first the when you lower a car the rate must increase so bottoming out doesn’t occur, Second the original spring used by the factory was under sprung. The sway bar is important to the equation because this is part of tuning. We have chosen a specific size bar for this package because we are targeting a good ride. Too big of a sway bar makes the car ruff riding over bumpy. Next we add a set of adjustable shock absorber into the mix and you have a great base for tuning your ride.
