This is a great street upgrade for those who want to keep the stock suspension components but yet get better handling, tire wear, and traction. In the kit we replace the soft rubber suspension bushing with Del-a-lum bushings. Del-a-lum bushings respond like a bearing without the noise or harshness. The bushings maintain alignment because they do not deflect. Del-a-lums are exclusively used in all Global West Control Arms and fortunately are made to fit stock control arms. Offset billet shafts are included so you can set the alignment to a different alignment specification. The factory specs are no longer correct for the tires of today. Alignment spec will be provided with this kit. Del-a-lum bushings are also used for the rear leaf spring bushings. They will stop lateral deflection and help reduce will hop.
The spring combination will lower the car about 1 inch from stock ride height. The front springs are stiffer then stock for two reasons first: when you lower a car the rate must increase so bottoming out doesn’t occur, Second the original spring used by the factory was under sprung. The rear leaf also lowers the car and is designed to control wheel hop. Note: Wheel hop is a multi component issue, not just the rear spring, Shocks, bushings, and tires are also part of the equation.
